
Darán Mac Meanman
A native of Strabane in County Tyrone, Darán is currently studying a Bsc in Spanish and Health Sciences with The Open University. At the same time, Darán works for Allstate NI and has worked for over 10 years as a software engineer for various companies.
Darán served as the Royal College of Nursing’s Student Representative for the North of Ireland, representing the Interests of Nursing Students on UK National Committees. He also spent many years involved in providing first aid coverage to Strabane. This included re-establishing the order of Malta Ambulance Corps in Strabane. He served for many years with St. John Ambulance in Strabane and beyond. This has given Darán an acute understanding and passion for the health needs of his community.
Darán got involved in politics because he felt that no other party represented him or his community. He is passionate about building a united Ireland and making his community a better place.
