Emmet Doyle is the Aontú councillor for Ballyarnett on Derry City and Strabane District Council.
Emmet was brought up in Creggan and the Bogside and became a community activist at an early age, serving on Derry City Shadow Council and then Junior Mayor of the City.
After graduating from Ulster University with a degree in Irish History and Politics, Emmet worked for a charity supporting young people before moving to the Northern Ireland Assembly where he served as an advisor to a senior MLA for four years.
Emmet is a qualified public affairs specialist and a member of the UK Chartered Institute of Public Affairs.
