Emer Tóibín, Meath East

Cllr Emer Tóibín has worked full-time as the Aontú councillor for the Navan area for the last 6 years and her hard work was rewarded with over 1,500 first preference votes in the recent local election.

She is married to a Limerick man and has 4 children. Having worked in education at all levels, project management and business development, she admits that local politics, although the most busy and demanding job she has undertaken to date, is the most rewarding. A keen camoige, tennis and squash player, Emer encourages the wider public to get active and community focused.

The best way to get things done is to lead by example and get stuck in. This Government is not listening to the people and more and more are getting left behind. We can no longer afford to wait in hope that things will improve – we have to be the change we want to see.
