Cllr Darren Jack Kelly is a member of Fingal County Council for Swords. He joined Aontú in February 2026.
Every area has different needs, and listening to residents has always been at the heart of his work as a County Councillor. Over the past year, he has worked within the council to push for improved public transport, safer streets, and practical changes in local estates, from tackling antisocial behaviour to securing traffic calming measures such as speed ramps and pedestrian safety improvements.
Darren represents communities across Swords, Santry, St. Margarets, Kilsallaghan and Rolestown, and believes local issues deserve real attention, not box-ticking. His focus is simple: to be accessible, responsive, and to work hard for the people who live in his community.
