June Healy, Kilrush

June Dillon, a community nurse in Co. Clare for 10 years but now working in a specialist geriatric unit, has experience working in both rural and urban areas of Co. Clare. June is married to Kieran, a farmer, and has four children. Aontu feel June is well qualified to represent her area on a range of diverse issues. She holds a BA in Public Administration, a Diploma in Youth and Community Work, a BSc in General and Children’s Integrated Nursing  and has an MSc in Older Person Rehabilitation. June is a member of her local athletic club St. Mary’s AC, her local GAA club Shannon Gaels, Inis Cathaigh Comhaltas branch as well as being involved with Kilrush Gold Club where her children are members.

In the past, June has volunteered overseas working with children in Ethiopia, and has volunteered at home with a homeless charity and in adult literacy.  June is very interested in local history and culture, and appreciates greatly the volunteers who give their time to keep rural community life alive for all age groups. June has set up self defence classes for teenage girls in her local community as well as chess classes for community games.
June was prompted to run in the 2024 General Election because she feels passionately that the people of Clare are being left behind by a government whose main interest is developing and investing in the Eastern seaboard.  She is especially concerned about rural isolation and decline, regional development, supports for family carers, farm stressors and the issue of domestic abuse and gender based violence in Co. Clare. June was involved in setting up the Safer Clare Campaign in 2025 and was also appointed by Minister Jim O’Callaghan to the Clare Local Community Safety Partnership in December 2025.
