The Coalition of Confusion is Implementing Contradictory Restrictions at great Cost to Society.
Aontú Leader and Meath West TD Peadar Tóibín has hit out at the masse of contradictions in the current Covid-19 restrictions being put in place by the government, and has stated that restrictions based on vaccination status would create a second class citizenship for young people.
An Teachta Tóibín:
“Ireland has been a significant outlier in terms of the length and severity of Lockdown. And we have had an enormous amount of illogical contraction. Under the government’s latest proposals A young person can work in a restaurant without a vaccine but can’t eat in the same restaurant.
The same young person can cross the road to a Wedding with 50 others and eat and drink to their hearts content. But they cant attend a family First Holy Communion of 20 people gathered in their garden.
Yet if you are a teacher, the Governments advice is, just open your windows and you will be fine. The government is losing, if it hasn’t already lost, the people over the contradictory and extreme restrictions”.
