Peter is a well-known business person living and working in Slane. Along with his wife, he runs the much-renowned Whole Hoggs freerange pig farm. The success of their business has led to significant coverage in the local and national media, and has resulted in Whole Hoggs receiving a number of accolades for their top-quality produce. More importantly, this success has led to Peter becoming one of the most recognised voices in the regional agri-food sector, and it has helped the Boyne Valley Food Series to become one of the most prominent food destinations in Ireland. Having honed his skills as a farmer and business person, Peter now wants to use them to contribute to the local community by helping to shape policies which will better provide for all the people of Meath. As cathaoirleach of Slane’s Aontú cumann, Peter has identified many key areas that need immediate action including improved infrastructure, better traffic management and the rejuvenating the entire local economy by bringing fresh thinking and

new ideas to local government.
