Paul Lawless is a native of Knock, Co. Mayo and is a Maths and Physical Education teacher at Ballyhaunis Community School. Paul holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) and a B.Ed. Paul plays Gaelic football for Aghamore GAA Club and the Mayo junior team. He has represented Mayo, Connaught and the Republic of Ireland at underage level, and achieved a professional contract with Derby County Football Club. Prompted by his dissatisfaction with how Mayo has been continuously left out of government investment and the devastating impact this has had on his generation Paul has decided to get involved in local politics.
