Dr. Ronan Cleary was born in London to Irish Parents; economic migrants to London. He has lived in Tramore for much of his life and works in Waterford. He went to school in the UK before going on to study History and Politics in UCD. He then went on to qualify as a solicitor in 2004. From 2005-2010 he was a solicitor in Dublin. In 2010 he took a career break and attended the Graduate Entry Medical School in UL; until he qualified as a doctor in 2014. He has volunteered with organisations both at home and abroad. Working with the Free Legal Advice Centre in the Citizens Advice Bureau for 8 years, when a solicitor, and more recently with Dobra Tut, an Irish Based charity operating in Belarus.
Ronan is a proud Irishman and a Munster Rugby fan and has an interest in gardening and nature. He enjoys sea swimming when temperatures allow and hiking. He is passionate about defending life at all stages, the Unity of the Irish Nation (Catholic, Protestant and Dissenter) both at home and abroad, inclusive of our new citizens, and a just society with economic opportunity for the many, not the few; individual free enterprise being at the heart of any thriving economy.
